About the Project
Sundew Dry Gin celebrates all that is female, rejecting the underlying societal norm that in order for women to be ‘strong’ and respectable, they must become more masculine.
In this project, I combined my love for nature with my passion for female empowerment. I was inspired by the feminist Patterns and Decoration movement of the '70s – '80s to develop intricate, nature-related patterns which each represent a different trait of femininity, as a wrap-around label.
I went on to create an interactive A.R component to pair with the bottle, which adds clarity to the meaning of these patterns and invites user engagement.

Augmented Reality Component
Users who scan the Q.R code on the back label gain access to a colorful, bold A.R component which explains the meaning of each pattern, while also emphasizing that femininity is infinitely more than what is on the label.
